Café Creative Writers is a friendly and supportive writing community based in Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Our relaxed, small-group sessions help aspiring and established writers develop their ideas, make steady progress and turn unfinished manuscripts into completed books.
You do not need to arrive with a finished manuscript or even a fully formed idea. Members can bring stories, novels, memoirs, poetry, children’s books, community projects or simply the ambition to start writing.

Café Creative Writers offers more than a conventional writing class. It provides a welcoming place where people can explore ideas, solve creative problems, receive constructive encouragement and steadily develop their own work.
Writers of all experience levels are welcome, including complete beginners who have always wanted to write a book but do not know where to begin. Sessions are informal, sociable and focused on helping each person move forward at their own pace.
There are no intimidating lectures and no expectation that your writing must already be polished. Bring an idea, a notebook, a manuscript or merely a stubbornly unwritten first sentence. We will supply the conversation, encouragement and occasional strategic application of caffeine.
